Dancer Spotlight ~ Danielle Milanese

Danielle Milanese has been dancing since April of 2007. She started with East-Coast Swing, but quickly branched out to learn Lindy Hop, Balboa, and Ballroom and Latin dances. She also enjoys Blues dancing. She feels it’s important to be a well rounded dancer, and is constantly striving to improve her skills, or learn a new style. She loves to be on the dance floor and meet new people, so never hesitate to ask her to dance! Be her friend on Facebook

Dancer Spotlight ~ Alexandra Papis

Alex and J.I have been dancing for 2 years now. I just recently moved to Gainesville and am teaching at the UF Swing Dancing Club on Wednesdays and Fridays. I originate from Tampa though. My first week of dancing was very busy. I started dancing in Orlando at their Friday night swing dance at UCF and their blues dance at Salsa Heat. I then went to Zendah Grotto in Tampa, then Ringside Cafe for blues in St. Pete, where I met Les J Wardell and Matt Kelsey, then Centro Asturiano in Tampa on Thursday. Ever since then I have been dancing for up to four days a week, and take private lessons from Les. I have become very dedicated to dancing and to music for dancing. I have been dancing all over Florida (SOFLEX, ORLX, Blues N’ Soul, weekly dances), Memphis (Memphis in May), New Orleans(Fleur De Lindy), and Virginia Beach. I have had the privelege of dancing with some of the best dancers in the country. I am going to Minneapolis, Seattle, and California soon. My goal is to dance everywhere and with everyone I can.
