What will you learn?
1pm. Blues Tapestry
Style: Ballroomin’ Blues
Focus: Technique
Think you know blues connection; think again! In this class you will discover the newest form of connection to allow closed position blues aerials, rapid improvability, and graceful lifts. You will never connect the same again! This class requires a basic understand of movement and traditional connection. It is most relevant to Ballroomin’ Blues. Our music choices will be mellow and very jazzy.

2pm. Blues Clues for Grown Ups
(with “Body Rolls for Bonus Points” on the side)
Style: House Blues
Focus: Style (some technique)
Blues is sexy. However, dancers need to know the etiquette, technique, and moves to keep it from being creepy. This class introduces the grown up, yet responsible side of Blues Dancing. We’ll also be incorporating some of the Body Rolls class as well.

3pm.LUNCH BREAK: 1 HOUR TO EAT AND RELAX

4pm. Listen to the Music
Style: Fusion Blues (if such a thing exists). ;-)
Focus: Musicality
Beginning with solo movement, you will be learning how to interpret different forms of music into your blues dance. We’ll be reviewing the primary styles played at most Blues Dance events. The techniques learned in this class are essential to enjoying the diversity in music used for Blues Dancing.

5pm. Blues Breathing
Style: Micro Blues
Focus: Technique
Blues Breathing breaks down barriers of comfort and focuses on connecting each other’s centers. It encourages squeezing every drop of possibility out of each moment on the dance floor. We will also be learning how to interpret musicality in very minute movements and integrate crescendos and decrescendos into this interpretation.
